Ok, second story. So I have a friend at school, we’ll call her Danya (cause that’s her nickname). She’s Korean, and she’s FROM Korea (meaning she lived in Korea until like a few months ago.)

Her eyes are like… AMAZINGLY LIKE TOP’S FROM BIG BANG. I’M SERIOUS. They’re dark, narrow, scary… VERY mysterious. AND SHE TALKS GANGSTER TOO (and think he’s hot). Well, I mentioned that to her, and she started telling me more about herself.

She dated the son of SM Entertainment’s CEO before she came to the US for school. And like, he took her to meet DBSK, SNSD, and BoA!! OMGOMG LUCKY BITCH, RIGHT?

D: I have DBSK’s phone number.

M: REALLY? CAN I HAVE IT?

D: It’s in my Korean phone….

M: Oh… *disappointment* …. Well, can you give it to me when you get your Korean phone back?

D: Sure!

M: YAY!!!

And apparently, she went to the same middle school as JESSICA JUNG from SNSD. OMGOMG. And she has friends back in Korea who go to Korea Kent Foreign School.

OMGOMGOMGOMG I have to go leave for basketball practice, so I’ll come back with a review after I’ve listened to all the songs.

01. Mirotic : I don’t have to explain myself. I LOVE THIS SONG. It’s like… ridiculously catchy. Even more than Purple Line probably. ~I got youuuu, under my skin~

02. Wrong Number : I didn’t like this at first, but I gave it few tries ^^ I don’t like the chorus, but the beat is nicely catchy.

AAAAH THERE’S A FREAKING BIG FLY IN MY ROOM. DIEEE!! *sorry, bug phobia*

03. 노을.. 바라보다 (Look at.. the Glow) : I believe this is the one written by Junsu. Now HERE’S  a song I love. I read the translations… somewhere. And it’s SO SO SO EXTREMELY SWEET AND TOUCHING. Junsu’s a genius TT_TT *cries tears of joy* My favorite part is totally the chorus. <3<3<3 This is a MUST LISTEN. Even if you don’t like the other songs… at least listen to this one. Just for Junsu.

04. CRAZY LOVE : Kinda techno-ish? I like it though lol, so no worries (even though techno isn’t my style). ~You’re my crazy love~ YES YOU ARE, YOU GORGEOUS BOYS. ~My heart beats for you~ RIGHT AGAIN!

05. HEY! (Don’t Bring Me Down) : When the preview came out, I read that a lot of people didn’t… particularly like it. Well, I think I’m in the minority here, but I really liked this song. It’s really catchy (like Mirotic), and I liked the upbeat-ness. I mean, when I’m listening to this while I’m cleaning up my room (bad example, I know), it usually helps me concentrate when I sing along ^_^ Try it!!

06. 넌 나의 노래 (You’re My Song) : Oh god, I love this song so much. I can actually recognize a few Korean words in this, like inorae *looks proud* My favorite part is DEFINITELY THE CHORUS. DEFINITELY. It’s lovely. Absolutely lovely. There’s no other words I can use to describe this song. PLEASE LISTEN TO IT.

07. 무지개 (Rainbow) : LOL when my roommate heard the opening beats, she thought it was an English song! HAHA it’s kinda true though… the opening beats sound like something that a jazz band would play in a jazz club. IT REALLY DOES. It’s not my favorite song of the album though… I was like spacing out while I was listening to it. Not that it was boring… just that I didn’t like it much.

08. 낙원 (Paradise) : I love the harps in the beginning <3<3 And Micky’s sexy voice going “Uh, uh” It’s a relaxing song ^_^ Idk, it’s kinda like Rainbow. I was like spacing out while listening to it (oh god, I just realized I’m so tired that I’m spacing out while I’m typing this out… I need to get sugar high again.)

09. 악녀 (Are You A Good Girl?) : HAHA I LOVE THIS SONG. Not only because of the title (which is TOTALLY LOL-TASTIC), but cause the song is great too. I can actually hear them sing ~are you a good girll~ in the chorus LOL. I’m a good girl… except when it comes to my insane fangirl-isms. It is SUCH AN UPBEAT SONG.

10. Flower Lady : I love this song <3<3<3 DUDE, I CAN SWEAR I’VE HEARD THIS SONG ON AN ENGLISH RADIO BEFORE. WAS IT BASED OFF AN ENGLISH SONG??? *goes to another blog for a quick check* OHH, YES IT IS! Something like “Stay with Me” right? OMGOMG I LOVE THAT SONG. The Korean version sounds amazing, let me tell you that.

11. 잊혀진계절 : Jaejoong’s solo? Yea…. I LOVE YOU JAE <3<3<3 It’s a really gorgeous solo song. Jae’s voice makes me melt <3<3<3

12. Love in the Ice [Korean Version] : OMG I FREAKING LOVED THE JAPANESE VERSION. AND THE KOREAN VERSION IS JUST AS GOOD.  OHOH AND YOU KNOW THAT HIGH NOTE THAT MICKY ALWAYS SINGS IN HIS LIVES? IT’S IN THE KOREAN VERSION RECORDING. OMGOMG I WAS LIKE SPAZZING WHEN I HEARD THAT NOTE, CAUSE I TOTALLY WASN’T EXPECTING THAT.

My rating: 10/10. I was totally pleased with this album. It was totally worth the time I waited for it to come out. Can’t wait till their comeback either ^_^ Look forward to the post after this, it’ll be totally mind-blowing!

Epicism’s rating: So stingy Alison? I haven’t even listened to the album yet and I’m saying that it’s 12/10. Wait until I make the parents buy me the albums for my birthday. Then it’ll be like a 2938527394/10.

Well, well, Mr. Lee Soo Man. I was hoping that there wasn’t going to be a day when I would end up hating you… but today is the day that I’m gonna be VERY VERY VERY mad.

I just read over here http://www.soompi.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=246143&pid=10993998&mode=threaded&start=#entry10993998 on Soompi that Zhang Li Yin’s going to only perform 2 songs at the SM Town live concert in Shanghai.

Ok, come on. 2 FREAKIN SONGS? Ok, look, Zhang Li Yin’s an AMAZING singer, and she’s going to SHANGHAI, CHINA, where she’s from, and she doesn’t get more songs??? I’m very, very disappointed. She doesn’t really get enough recognition for her talent. Her album was pushed back like what, 3 times?? The fans waited oh so patiently, and were INCREDIBLY HAPPY when it finally came out. And now she doesn’t get to sing more than 2 songs at the SM Town live. I mean, no offense to Shinee, but even THEY get more songs then her. And they’ve barely passed 100 days, while Zhang LI Yin’s been around for like, 2 years.

THAT IS NOT FREAKIN FAIR.

And while we’re on the topic of hating SM, I’d like to talk about some other SM topics.

Marketing: No one can deny that SM is a marketing powerhouse, but sometimes I feel they do it in the wrong way. Such as when they were promoting SJ-H. I mean, COME ON. PAJAMAS? Are you freakin kidding me? I won’t lie… I really hated their promotions. Which brings me to my next point.

Images: SM really has a great idea for images, they really do. Such as with S.E.S., they’re successfully changed images (from cute to sexy, for example), without much trouble. Having a sexy group (CSJH the Grace), and a cute, teen group (SNSD) was also a great idea. A powerhouse singer (Zhang Li Yin), and a talented idol group (DBSK) were very good ideas as well. Don’t forget their special group (Shinee). However, sometimes I feel that Super Junior was NOT the best idea. I mean, I really love SJ, but sometimes their images are too much for me. Rokuggoh was horrible, but tolerable. I absolutely loved the Marry U and Don’t Don images (still not feeling the hair), but SJ-H absolutely pushed me to the limit. Cooking Cooking was tolerable as well, but Pajama Party is just… no. Does everyone remember when DBSK was promoting Balloons? Very cute of them, but the costumes were sometimes too much. And now for Shinee. Yes, they are amazing performers. But my friend has pointed this out to me a million times. “Nuna is so pretty” is not a very nice song… The lyrics annoy her.

“Promises”: I definitely have a problem with this. SM “promises” to release albums on a specific date, only to push it back “promising” to release it on that date. That date rolls along, and then the album still doesn’t come out. Yes, I have issues with that. I know that the albums turn out amazing, but SM shouldn’t get fans’ hopes up like that. And the whole Only-13 thing with Super Junior. SM’s fault, all the way. I still think the fans overreacted, but SM was the one who caused everything by “promising” things that later backfired on them.  Also, on Zhang Li Yin… LSM stated that he had picked out 10 different new outfits for her to wear, AND that there would be a fanmeeting.  Guess what? No fanmeeting and only 2 songs…

ANOTHER ONE.

Overworking: Okay, so if you compare people like DBSK and SHINee, looking at their debuts up until now. Their lives were a lot better. There’s no proof that SM treats their artists badly, but they definitely promote them… a bit too much? As soon as a definite fanbase that’s stable is established, you don’t have to worry that much. I mean, at their debut, SHINee had NO flaws. None. Their lives were perfect, and you would think it was the recording. Now, you have the occasional note crack, off key here or there, and it… doesn’t sound like the recording anymore. Really. I don’t know if it’s for the better or for the worse. Bottom line is, GIVE THEM A BREAK.

Whew, that’s it for now, but I’ll edit if anything else comes to mind. Don’t get me wrong, I love all SM artists… I just can’t stand SM Entertainment itself.

Or should I say Zhang Li Yin? That’s right, SM’s Chinese solo singer is having her 2nd anniversary today!

For those of you who don’t know her, Zhang Li Yin is a Chinese/Korean singer under SM with the BEST voice! She debuted in 2006 with the single Timeless, featuring the talented and gorgeous Xiah Junsu! She went on to release her first Chinese album early this year. The tracks on her album really showed of her powerful vocals (and for you Shinee fans, Jonghyun actually sang with her on one of the tracks!)

Most about this TALENTED AND GORGEOUS girl: She can play the violin, and she’s from Sichuan, China. Remember the earthquake earlier this year? Li Yin actually donated her favorite violin to charity to raise money for the earthquake victims. Isn’t that so sweet??

Timeless MV Part One Yay ^^ One of my favorite songs, like ever. And the fact that she sang it with Junsu makes it that much better. LSM loves her by the way XD But this song really grew on me ever since the first time I listened to it <3 And Siwon/LYH/Hankyung in the MV= LOVE.
Timeless MV Part Two Part One and Two are linked. I’m sure eeeeverybody knows this, but DON’T WATCH ONE WITHOUT WATCHING THE OTHER. They make so much more sense when you put it together, and Junsu and Ri In look awesome together. Not that I’m being superficial, they sound great together too. But this/these was/were really sad, and… yeah. VERY thought-provoking if you need to waste some time.
Debut Performance- Timeless SO PRETTY. Honestly, I think Ri In put a liiiitle bit too much effort in this performance, but it shows that she tries. A lot. And she and Junsu sound awesome live together.
Y (Why) MV SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SONG. I really can’t understand why mmmkimchi doesn’t like it. I like… the Chinese version more… but just because the Korean version has an MV. And she looks positively GORGEOUS (when doesn’t she?) in this.
Performing Y (Why) and Magic Castle Why is she so awesome? She performs the first song in Korean and Magic Castle in Chinese ♥__♥ so amazing

INKIGAYO POST. I actually streamed this on TVants, so I watched these again on Youtube to do reviews on them. And I used my account that I wrote on the notepad for Inkigayo

Wonder Boys- Girls Generation+So Hot URGH. I actually had to ask mmmkimchi on this because… I thought “that hair is horrendous, it can’t be Sungmin” and apparently I. WAS. WRONG. It was Sungmin >< Anyways, not much to say about GG because… contrary to a lot of people I actually LOVE the song, but there wasn’t too much special about it. Taemin, those are some unattractive pants you got there. Jo Kwon actually gets REALLY into the dance so much that he starts looking….. um. But Taemin does something really XDDDD with his hips and I ask this: IS HE REALLY A GUY. But the rap was NOT bad, actually. And Shindong… since WHEN did he lose so much weight???? Honestly, Taemin is the cutest and I couldn’t keep my eyes off of him. It was all I could do to watch the others instead of mainly Taemin. And just for the record, Sungmin, Shindong, Jo Kwon (2AM), Taemin, and Seungri performed.

SNSD- T.O.P. I was actually REALLY scared for them. I made it a point to hear this before I watched Inkigayo, and when I heard it I started getting these horrible thoughts about them flopping and everyone going all “SNSD KILLED A CLASSIC.” Not to say I don’t love these girls, I think they’re amazing. ANYWAYS. Tiffany looked REALLY gorgeous. I normally wouldn’t say this, but I thought she was Jessica for a minute. Then I realized Jessica’s voice is waaay higher. And Sooyoung was so much awesome. I like what she did with her jacket *o* And I was so happy when Taeyeon started singing because I just love her. And I LOVE that Eric did the rap and changed it for them. I think they look great in those black pants. A great change ^^ And they did a great job.

Lee Hyori and Kara- U-Go-Girl I… will be honest. This killed me. I think Kara was trying REALLY hard to have cute voices. I mean, their Rock U song is… horrible enough. I just have something against these really really high pitched voices. I thought the phone scene was VERY cute though. and I looooove Hyori’s clothes. She looks good in anything, I swear. She could be wearing a DUCK SUIT and she’d be able to make it look sexy. What I did like was that Kara did the dancing verrrry well. And how Nassun changed the rap. Awesome.

Lee Hyori- Hey Mr. BiG Her clothes. SOOOO pretty on her. I’m sure it would look just… slutty and trashy and ew on anyone else, but Hyori pulls it off soooo well.

FT Island- After Love Verrrry awesome. Is it just me or did they change the key for the performance? But OMG Wonbin is LOVE. He looks at the camera so charismatically <3 And they actually zoomed in on Minhwan a couple times which is so much awesome because he’s my favorite and <3<3.

DBSK 4th Album Teaser This. was. not. a. teaser. and. SM. and. SBS. owe. me. 20. seconds. of. sleep. Honestly, everyone was expecting this big cut of their MV and what we get is…. some T concert clips, a message about their comeback, fans at the airport, and a 2 second BAM. of their new picture. Not exciting.

Super Junior H- Pajama Party Their INKIGAYO goodbye perf. And.. I was actually surprised that it didn’t seem much like pajamas that they were wearing. I mean… after those first performance ones, those aren’t even sleep clothes. It still looks too casual to wear out or anything, but honestly!

Big Bang- NoNoNo Smoking campaign I thought this was awesome… I mean DOCTOR TOP and Seungri as the nurse? I actually think Daesung had the easiest part XD

SHINee- Love Like Oxygen Agh. Jonghyun does that thing with his shirt again ♥_♥ But it doesn’t look as awesome because his tie is tighter *cries* I mean last time you could see the collarbone and everything. And Onew has POLKA DOTS XD Or Dalmatian, whichever one you prefer. If you look closely, Taemin still has that pink bracelet from Wonder Boys, and he’s wearing the same pants. Did Minho gel his hair? And Onew cracked during his ad lib at the end -_- I still love him though, it doesn’t matter.

Jo Kwon (2AM) and Sunye- This Song Actually, This Song bores me. It’s really boring and I just.. hate it. But Jo Kwon and Sunye did a GREAT job with this. Sunye looks gorgeous, and even though I think that Ye Eun has more potential for good singing than she does, you can really hear Sunye shine when she performs ballad. And Jo Kwon’s voice really compliments hers. And they’re such friends, so you can really feel the love ^^

Dude I totally loved the album… not only because I love Shinee, but the songs are absolutely amazing. Oh and sorry for the late review. I would’ve done it yesterday, but I went to a school dance (and OMG it was awesome!), but that’s totally off-topic.  Let’s shine the spotlight on Shinee! (haha I crack myself up sometimes. Haha shine, Shinee… ok, I’ll be quiet now.)

01. The SHINee World : Dude when they performed this on their comeback, I knew I was gonna love it. It’s a great start to a great album (hmm, I said that about Younha’s album too!) But anyway, it’s incredibly catchy. The beat is like, so upbeat. And I absolutely love it when they sing “Shinee segye!” WOOT Shinee world! And “MY NAME IS MINHO!” Dude that’s awesome (but of course, everyone knows that the rapper is Minho right?)

02. 사랑의 길 (Love’s Way) : This reminds me of one of those American R&B songs, sorta like Chris Brown songs (which, btw, Chris Brown is awesome.) And I would be totally into American music if the lyrics weren’t so incredibly horribly annoying (I actually listen to Korean music because I like not being able to understand it.) So basically, if you’re a fan of American artists like Chris Brown or R&B, you’ll love this song. (I know I love it.) Ooh, and Jonghyun’s voice is totally suited to this kind of music! Cause he hits the most awesome high notes.

03. 산소 같은 너 (Love Like Oxygen) : Everyone knows this song right? I admit, I didn’t like it at first, but I saw their live performance and MV and I totally fell in love. I love how this song showcases Taemin and Minho a lot more (unlike Replay.). And I actually like how I can actually hear Minho rapping. The beat is really catchy, and this is a new style of song I haven’t heard before from anyone, and I think I actually really like it.

04. 너 아니면 안되는 걸 (ROMANTIC) : I really like how this song starts off. Oh, this song reminds me a lot of another song I know… GAH I can’t remember what it is. But listen to the very beginning of the chorus, and the melody sounds really familiar to me. I can’t remember whether it was an English song or Korean song though >.< But this is another kind of R&B mellow song ^_^ And it’s quite romantic sounding.

05. 그녀가 헤어졌다 (One For Me) : To be honest… I don’t really like this song. It’s kinda boring… in a way. Like IDK why I  don’t like it… I just don’t. Of course, that’s just my opinion. You guys can try it out too, and then make your own decision.

06. 화장을 하고 (Graze) : This song is ok. Not great, not bad. I hate the tune for the verses, but the chorus made up for it. I would suggest listening to it for the chorus, plus the rapping is really nice too, since you don’t get to hear Minho rap all that often.

07. 마지막 선물 (Last Gift) [In my room-Prelude] : Aww, I love this song. It starts off with a piano playing, kinda like Haru Haru, but different at the same time. It’s a lot like In My Room… really slow, a pure ballad song. I like this song A LOT more than In My Room. I like the tune a lot more, and it’s just a lot more pleasing to my ears.

08. 내 곁에만 있어 (Best Place) : I don’t like this song that much. It’s not that great, but I like it a lot better than One for Me or Graze.

09. 혜야 (Y Si Fuera Ella) : THIS was the song I was looking forward to. I’LL FINISH WHEN I GET BACK.

First they performed a longer version of SHINee World, which is A;LKSDJFALKSDJ because it is SUCH an awesome song. And you know you gotta love Jonghyun’s “OH!” at the end of his singing part. And the part when Minho goes all ______________ JONGHYUN, _____________ TAEMIN, _______________ONEW, _______________KEY, ______________MINHO, MY NAME IS MINHO. The dancing is just A;SLDKFJALSDJFLKJ because… that whole going in order thing really appeals to me, I don’t know why.

Then Love Like Oxygen. Agh. Why do they cut off Onew’s shoe move, it’s like awesome! And Taemin CAN SING. I KNOW IT. TAEMINNIE IS <3<3 Who really thinks that the dancing in the chairs is hot? I do… And like that slick mic pass in Replay, THEY HAVE ANOTHER SLICK MOVE IN THIS ONE. If you don’t watch them dragging the chairs over, you don’t even notice D: And Key when he sings, it’s like…. SEXY. SEXY SEXY SEXY.

I finished this post before I went to bed! If I don’t feel too criminally late tomorrow, I’ll do a post on their 5th Reality Show episode….

Alison: You know what I’ve noticed about Taemin’s voice? I guess it kinda has like… a Heechul feel to it. But Taemin’s voice is definitely stronger than Heechul’s. It’s just that both of their voices are kinda… bubbly? In a way? ARRGH I have no other way to describe it.

Okay, epicism had better read this. From now on, we’re color-coding each other. Since we both have a habit of invading each other’s post, I (mmmkimchi), will be putting my words in RED when I invade her post, and epicism can edit this post later with her color.

But anyway, DUDE this was AWESOME! Hyesung’s totally rocking the new hairstyle (and he looks super thin >.< ), but his vocals haven’t changed at all!  They… are… AWESOME! Seriously.

He started off with Because of You (?) Yeah.  Well, I liked Awaken a lot more, but the guitar player’s solo was awesome (and doesn’t look half bad himself).

Then he went into Awaken (my favorite song on his new album!)  It was… perfect.  The only thing that could’ve made it better is if Hyesung had danced.  Too bad he didn’t   And the MC’s waving balloons around and cheering on Hyesung was so cute <3<3

I think it was an awesome comeback <3<3  Now I’m gonna go listen to Younha’s new album so that I can review it later ^^
